Epic of Helinthia

My first printed hardcover. The client asked for a specific design featuring a woman running away from a burning city holding a baby, with a statue of a fictional Greek god in the background. I made three concept sketches for her to choose from, two variations on what she’d asked for, and a third that was inspired by her idea. She chose the third, and I began work on the picture you see above.
